| 3/5/2004 Samsung Electronics announces that it is joining the semiconductor technology development partnership with IBM Chartered and Infineon Technologies. Initially, the four companies will focus on 65-nm technology and will extend, over time, to include 45-nm process development. The technology is geared to provide what the companies claim is an industry platform for CMOS logic processes. Joint development will take place at IBM's 300-mm Advanced Semiconductor Technology Center in East Fishkill. Source: Silicon Strategies 3/5/2004 IBM licenses 90-nm CMOS logic technology to SAMSUNG for its system-on-chip (SOC) product lines, such as HD-TVs, DVDPs, and mobile applications.
